I was actually surprised by the treatment of furry/anthro art in the AP. On all the anthro art I've seen, the reviews have been overall positive, with only a few abusive reviews here and there; and the submissions seem to, for the most part, have generally high scores; any zero-bombing seems to be quickly corrected.

Well when you become a furry you become a freak of nature. People look at you as if your a monster. People socialize with you as if your an inanimate object. Horrible things happen along this road. The only ones you can trust are your comrades. Many people have joined this group of imperfections...including me...

I honestly don't see how anyone can complain about it. Most of us grew up on cartoons (like Loony Tunes), and most of that is anthro art. People just think of furries as "freaks who want humans to bond with animals," which is wrong. Most of them just like drawing cross-over art.

If there's anything to complain about "furries," it's the people who dress up in suits and yiff. That's fucking creepy.

yea i hate furry bashers too its just enoying they should have like more filters in the art portal for those people.For example an anti furry filter so they dont have to whine. IT really gets enoying after a while.

It dont matter what the haters say, no matter what style of art you do ur always gonna have ppl who dont like it or dismiss it cuz' its different. Aint much anthro anything on this site so it'll be a good change. Plus ur art has high quality which the majority of ppl on this site lack. I also posted some of my anthro art knowing full well how ppl will prolly' react. Its just a matter of gettin ur art out in the world usin as many means as possible, ain't no shame in that. So as far as how ppl treat furry fans, artists, whateva, it dont matter, dont stress over it, just be happy wit wat you do, i know i am ^^.

Anthropomorphic art is famous for the porn side of it which, lets face it, is 90% of the genre. Most people only illustrate non-pornographic anthro stuff because they want to venture a little more from the porn side of it, which most likely got them into it- unless it's like a person of whom has watched Disney works and such for a long time and just naturally enjoys the sight of a humanoid animal prancing 'round. But this is rarely seen because of the poorly recreated anime aspects of it, the anime being the original state of that yiffer stuff, and not children's shows like Disney do.
What I hate is when people try to make it seem so important, addressing people into the stuff as 'furries' and talking about the topic as if it's a higher force like religion or genetic like race- like it's something you can't help. It's just a bloody art style that happens to turn some people on, and if you like that stuff, you don't have to go parading round shouting it atop the rooftops as if it's your right to be into the stuff. It IS wrong, and is just like saying you got the right to be into scat. It's just wrong, and though no-one can really arrest you for enjoying it, it doesn't mean others should have to tolerate such wack shit being attempted to make look good.

Regardless, your art is well done and looks good. The art, that is-shading, colour, anatomy and such- not what it is, disturbing animal humanization born from private sexual fantasy.

I understand your feelings about critizism. I may get fussy :p when someone critisizes GOOD art like yours, but I wont get into a huge debate and/or fight about it. Just let the haters be.

yeah people are assholes. in my eyes, people who hate furries are very hypocritical, since most very popular games or shows have furry characters

I think I'll watch you over on dA though anyway. And I happen to notice most furry haters are usually younger to mid teens, they probably hate furries because they didn't grow up with all the good old shows we used to watch. Either that or they're just ignorant.

i dont like furries myself, but still, what is art anyway? and if your good at it, then go for it, i personally dont hate your stuff, its good, and you got what it take to make your characters look alive, its rare, many professional artist can draw sick detailed , awesome effects, dead puppets with no souls, but thats not your case.

It's the same on any website really, even on DA. But hey, if they're gonna be immature about it then that's their problem. Sure, they don't care if you play games with anthro's in but as soon as you go from playing a game to drawing it you're a freak.
I just don't bother with them anymore. They're not worth the effort.
